HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that causesAids. These viruses infect humans and can cause the immune system (immunity) of the body, so the bodybecomes weak in the fight against infection. In other words, the presence of this virus in the body will cause a deficiency (lack of) immune system.
Like most other viruses, HIV can only replicate by using host cells. HIV life cycle begins with attachment of virus particles (virions) with receptors on the surface of host cells, include CD4, CXCR5, and CXCR5.HIV target cells are dendritic cells, T cells, and makrofaga.Sel was found in the surface layer of the skin (mucosa) of the penis, vagina, and oral is usually the initial site of infection with HIV. In addition, HIV can also directly enter the bloodstream and enter and replicate in the spleen stain.
Required a test method to determine a person infected with HIV.
HIV testing tell us whether we are infected with HIV, the virus that causes Aids. Most of these tests look for antibodies to HIV. Antibodies are proteins produced by the immune system to attack specific germs. Antibodies against all germs are different, so if found HIV antibodies in our blood, it means you are infected with the most common HIV.Test for HIV is a blood test. Now there are also tests that can look for antibodies in urine, or in fluid taken from inside the mouth (not saliva), swiped from inside the cheek. The test is often used now called the rapid test or rapid test, which is able to provide results within 20-30 minutes.
We can be infected without knowing it. We may not feel sick or have a complaint. But we can still infect others. Anyone who is sexually active should be tested for HIV .If we become infected with HIV, the immune system usually newly formed antibodies three weeks to three months after we are exposed. This is called the window period. So, if we feel we are exposed, or HIV risk behaviors, we should wait three months after the events at risk before we tested. We can also direct tests, and repeated the test three months after the event (not after the first test). During this window period, antibody tests will show the results of non-reactive (negative), but even so, if we are infected we can pass on to others.
So beware
